The Knowing

Hey folks,,
What's up with you guys? As of me I'm super busy with the assignments and home-works !! No matter how much effort I put....there's always another pile of assignments to complete! (sighs)
Anyways.....this time I'm going to post a story I wrote ....Immature you may tell me but I seriously am improving day by day... :) ....Here's goes the story...

Aryaa looked stunning in the red gown. Her face was gleaming. He couldn’t help watching her. She was moving so abruptly and graciously towards him that he nearly fainted. She looked ravishing and the pretty girl was now standing by his side. She looked at him with her big sparkly eyes. Her alluring fragrance was lifting him off his feet. She gestured him to tell him something in his ear. He absent-mindedly moved towards her. “Wake Up, Rahul” was what she said. For once he couldn’t make out what she was referring to and the next moment he opened his eyes.

Rahul was already so late for college yet his mom insisted him on eating off everything on his plate. “Mom, please let me go…they won’t let me in if I’m late”, Rahul exclaimed in anxiety. “That’s not my problem. You are the one who slept till late. And what were you dreaming about? You were babbling in your sleep. And you were smiling all along. What is up with you, Rahul? What’s happening to you these days?” his mom said. Rahul tried a lot to hide his embarrassment but he terribly failed at it. He tried to explain but he ran out of excuses.

He’d been dreaming about Aryaa a lot lately. And he was unable to explain it to himself. ‘Why Aryaa?’ he screamed in his head. Aryaa was a girl at his college. She was cute and all but so were the other girls. But like any other day, he had no proper answer. They had not even talked once but no matter how many times he told himself these things, the dreams wouldn't stop.

After remaining quiet and idle for some time, he again became conscious. On realizing that his mom was now staring at him, he made an attempt to drive away his flustered face. This time he somehow managed. He was already very late for college and without wasting a second he sped off to college.

He was in such hurry that he nearly crashed his bike on a lamp post. He was moving on until he saw, his classmate, Riya. She looked as if she was waiting for a bus. Even though, Rahul was already late for college, he decided to take her with him. “You want a ride? You look like you do!”, he said.  Riya looked both amused and delighted all at the same time. “You know, Rahul, you are a life saver!! I was so late for college! Thanks a lot”, she said.

Due to god’s grace, they arrived right on time. Looking blissful Riya said, “Thank god, we’re not late. If it were not for you, I’d not be here”. She smiled her brightest smile. But that was nothing compared to what he saw in his dreams. “No problem”, he replied, composing himself.

But it certainly wasn’t for long as Aryaa appeared in front of him,out of nowhere. She was just coming to college, he assumed. Aryaa looked at him. She looked troubled and kept on moving forward but suddenly she came to an abrupt halt. She turned back and looked directly into his eyes. The world around him dissolved. Only Aryaa was evident. The 18years-old-guy in him got triggered. One flickering moment and the eye-contact was all over. He stood bemused; happy maybe. And he thought of his dreams; how she came to him by herself. Well, most of the times she did ,anyway. Then, all of a sudden the bell rang and he gulped down the bitter reality.

All day long he kept thinking about Aryaa; how she looked directly into his eyes; how he forgot about everything once he saw her. She drove him crazy. Rahul couldn’t think about anything else beside Aryaa. She absolutely ruled him that day.

The day passed swiftly without much of doing. After the final bell, Rahul was ready to go home. He picked up his bag and moved towards the parking. He saw his bike and a girl standing by its side.  It was Riya. He got near her and she saw him. “Umm… Rahul do you mind giving me your notes? You see I was absent for a whole week, last month”, said Riya. “Okay…alright. Here you go “. Rahul took out his notes and handed it over to her. “Thanks a lot. You are a life saver!”, she said and hugged Rahul cheerfully. He just smiled and stood there completely bewildered.

In the meantime, Aryaa magically appeared out of the blue. She saw them. There was no eye contact this time. She suddenly looked distressed and moved quickly through the crowd. Rahul grasped the grounds behind the wary eyes. It was his stroke that bothered her, he realized.

This was it. He rushed towards her. He found her in the cafeteria, crying. Though, they had not confronted each other till that moment, Rahul didn’t even sense a slightest hint of intricacy. Even though, the reason behind the tears was him, he wanted to make every possible thing right for her. He wanted to look after her and care for her. He wanted to comfort her and make her happy. Yeah, he loved her.

    1. The story along with its plot and description is good but for the ending part i agree with "Apee Regmi", it should have been a bit more clear to make the story even better. But nonetheless your effort is praise worthy, keep it up. :D

Book Review: The Fault In Our Stars

I have never done book reviews in my life except for those compulsory ones that I was made to do in 9th grade by my English teacher. He made us write five book reviews in a month (yes, you heard me right)..So yeah, the quantity ruled over quality and the whole "reviewing books" thing was an epic fail to sum it up.  And for a while, I have been running out of things to write about that interests me. So, I had an epiphany this evening about doing reviews. And I said to myself, what better book would there be to start with other than 'The Fault In our Stars' which is probably the most hyped Y/A  fiction of the 21st century, yet. In both good and bad ways. I don't remember the first time I heard about the book and that shouldn't surprise any of us as it basically ruled the internet since it came out. So, succumbing to the calls of pop culture, I finally decided to read the book in the fall of 2013. I'm aware that I might be a little  late. Here goes noth...

The little things that matter :)

We people take too many things for granted in life. We are never satisfied with the things we already have in our possession. Don't get me wrong, when I say things, I don't only mean the superficial things like house, car, dresses blah blah.... I'm using here it in the simplest sense. So that includes the good times, the bad times and all the the other things in life that you can think of at this very instant! Because even the worst things have some positive effect on us....... But us not knowing the worth of those moments is a completely different story... :P  We are always very busy complaining about the things that have gone wrong or the things which we feel are 'well below the mark'. Why cant we just shut up, sit down and enjoy the awesomeness around us? Because no matter how miserable we feel our life  is there's always this other person who would love to have our life , like any day..! When I say it out loud it does seem intriguing, doesn't it...

20 Things To Do Before 20

This post is a little different than the posts I usually do and it's "fun-er" than the rest of them too. I still have a year or two before I hit the twenties and that's where things get interesting. Teenage is probably going to be the most interesting part of our lives so I wanted to make a bucket list to make sure that this phase ceases in its full glory. So, this is my take on 20 things to do before 20 . Hope you enjoy going through it ! :) 20.  Bunking classes 19. Reading a good book and crying 18. Not studying for an exam but still acing it 17. Having a "love at first sight" moment 16. Watching a TV series until you get sick....literally 15. Trying a food you can't pronounce 14. Having at least 20 crushes 13. Talking to someone through the night till dawn 12. Going for shopping... alone! 11. Watching back-to-back movie at a cinema hall 10. Dating someone who isn't your type 9. Going to a dance party 8. Drunk dial...

(un)finished business

By Vincent van Gogh - Starry Night Over the Rhone You were a ship passing by my ship during a sunset.   Ours was a chance encounter, so it was never about staying close forever Nor was it about helping each other traverse the tides together.  We had both set sail to reach far away lands from different ends of the earth With our journeys laid out in front of us. But when we met amidst the vastness of the sea  It was difficult not to believe that something about our closeness made sense. There was comfort and ease in existing together, A never before felt sense of synchronicity, That all was unfolding as it should.  I was the first to say goodbye though,  Not because I didn't want you,  But because I wanted you too much and I knew we weren't on the same page.  But why is it that even if I was the reason we sail separately today, I find myself thinking about you more frequently than I care to admit.  Sometimes, memories of you feel like a fervent fev...

Those Despicable Days !

Apart from the report card distribution days, exams are my least favorite part of the year. And I think it is not that hard to believe, because let’s face it . Who on earth likes to be tested on anything? Definitely not me. Exam gets to me in its own strange ways and I totally despise it. I had a whole month to prepare for my exams and to be honest there were merely a handful of days when I actually studied. And when I was not studying, the stress that I was not studying was always on my mind. And because of that neither I could enjoy my time doing some other things nor could I possibly just go and study. Told you, Exam does pretty weird things to me. I would just rather sit idly on my room rather than going through those literally out-of-the-world physics numerical that I know nothing about. I would rather do all those household chores, that my mother keeps on telling me that I should do, rather than balancing those crazy chemical equations.  During the pa...

You

I see the sky in a purple haze, The water, a still emerald green The city life full of scintillating golden And then I see you,  A serene blue. I see you in the stillness of blue, In the warmth of red painted nails, In the softness of pink luscious lips And then I hear you, A dark mist of words. I hear you in the darkness, In the subtlety of pastel roses. And in the burning embers of firewood, Your voice resonates through me. I mumble upon your brown gaze, I get swept off by your breath against my rosy cheeks And then I feel you, A bright blur of colors.

Encounters.

I had known it the second second I woke up that day. Something atypical was going to happen and I could tell. I lazily turned off the alarm on my phone. I just couldn't help but stare at the date. It was like the calendar was giving me signs. It just didn't feel "normal".  The thought was insane so I just brushed it off and got off the bed. I hurriedly got ready, had my breakfast and ran off to college because as always I was late. The rest of the morning was as mundane as any morning could be. I felt stupid for all the thoughts that came to my find earlier. I made a mental note to not buy romance novels the next time I went to a book store. I had some really boring classes that day and dreading it made those preposterous thoughts slip off my mind instantly. I had to sit through two consecutive Chemistry classes first thing in the morning and I was losing my mind. When the bell rang for break, I couldn't wait to get a breath of fresh air. I caught my...

I had to live without my phone for 10 days and it didn't go well.

Few months after I bought a phone, the worst thing that could happen to a person that bought a new phone happened to me. My phone started to dysfunction. My brand new phone, that I was paying way more than I could afford, was having issues. And like any normal person, I too went through the 5 stages of grief.  I pretended like I did not see that my apps were crashing and my phone was restarting randomly. I would just put my phone face down when that happened because I did not want to deal with it (kids, don't try this at home). And then I levelled up to the next stage. My phone would restart exactly when I was trying to send an important text, make an important call...or take a picture, or a million, of a beautiful sunset and boy, did that piss me off. I tried to look up solutions online but I couldn't find any that worked for me. Then I started bargaining. Is my phone shutting down and starting up on its own, which takes a total of 20 secs, really that big of a deal? I felt li...

Things and Places- II

Photo credit: Tumblr.com This is the second part of the story I wrote a couple months back. You can click on this link " Things and Places- I " to read the first part. Also, these stories are based on a real events. I'm kidding! Maybe :P Sameer It'd been two weeks since I'd been talking to Sneha over the email. And our conversations had only gotten more amusing. Like a few days back they had argued over their least favorite/favorite Book-to-Movie adaptation and I hadn't laughed like that in ages. Dear Sneha, Don't judge me. But my least favorite book-to-movie adaptation is ....... Twilight series. Yes, I've read them.  And watched ALL the movies. Yes, all five of them. Sue me. -Sameer Dear Sameer, Judge you ? what ? I respect you more because It takes guts to accept you've read Twilight series in today's world. :D Let me let you in on a secret, I've read Twilight series twice. lol -Sneha Dear Sneha, Haha, For Real?...

My first day of college :D

Dear diary, Today was the day that I had dreaded for weeks (months actually :P). As the title suggests, today was the first day of my college life! First day is always the hardest and... so it was. The day as a whole was pretty aggravated and I sure am glad that the day is finally over... As i woke up this morning, all I could think was how this day would possibly end! New friends, new teachers, new environment, new class.... and god knows what! Walking through the gate with all the eyes staring at me was almost embarrassing...but I didn't let that get the best  of me even if it was VERY hard to ignore. Oh well! It surely does happen to all of us at some point in our life! My college life started with a short presentation and a long lecture. Surprisingly, the hour-and-a-half long lecture was not so boring. Finally, the college administration officially welcomed us to their college and told that they were proud to have us! (sighs) Anyways, we didn't study today at all. Mainl...
